Melville

The Melville facility utilizes underground caverns that were originally designed for high pressure gas storage, which results in caverns that offer superior impermeability, safety in durability, and an environmental integrity which is unmatched.

Designed to store high pressure gas (natural gas storage) securely at pressures up to 3000 psi, this world-class facility utilizes these sealed underground caverns along with the most demanding environmental standards to ensure the integrity of our operation. Combined with this, is the sealed holding of the wastes and the eventual hydrocarbon recovery, leaving only clean dirt and salt water in the cavern at decommissioning. As the nature of the waste is treated and disposed of, so too are any of our clients' liability concerns.

By utilizing underground caverns that were originally designed for high pressure gas storage, we ensure the sealed holding of the wastes from airborne pollution and promote the eventual hydrocarbon recovery. Willmar

Rotex Energy is now operating under Plains Environmental

The Willmar waste management facility provides for the treatment, processing and disposal of oilfield byproducts generated by the upstream petroleum industry. Our facility offers waste management, truck/tank washing, steaming and water disposal. Accepted products include crude oil emulsions, tank and vessel residual solids, hydrocarbon contaminated soils, produced water and drilling byproducts.

Plains has developed a source well and approved storage cell capable of supplying large volumes of water suitable and compatible for well fracturing and completion requirements. The Willmar facility has the ability to heat and mix completion waters to typical Bakken reservoir temperatures for delivery resulting in significant on-lease heating cost savings. At Plains we are pleased that providing this environmentally friendly service enables a reduction in the use of large volumes of fresh water resources for multistage horizontal completions.
