Rotex Source Well – Compatible for Well Fracturing

  • Is your company proactive regarding water usage?

The issue of frac water supply has become significant not only because the SE Saskatchewan development area is large, but also because each well stresses the province’s water resources due to multistage horizontal completions requiring large volumes of treatment fluid. – Source: E&P Magazine

Rotex has developed a source well and approved storage cell capable of supplying large volumes of water suitable and compatible for well fracturing and completion requirements.  The Rotex facility has the ability to heat and mix completion waters to typical Bakken reservoir temperatures for delivery resulting in significant on-lease heating cost savings.

  • Get Ahead of the Curve – Source Energy & Capital

As the collective thirst of the world’s people and industry continues to spike, as supply continues to dwindle, the market for fresh water has been predicted by many to eclipse oil within three decades.

  • Importance of Groundwater – Source Natural Resources Canada (Atlas)

The most significant ecological function of groundwater is its gradual discharge to maintain streamflow.  Groundwater is also extremely important in supplying fresh water to Canadians.  About eight million people, or 26% of the population, depend on groundwater.  Approximately two thirds or five million of these users live in rural areas.  Other than in some territories, there is always at least one fifth of the population in every province dependent on groundwater.  The provinces with the high rural populations such as Saskatchewan and the Atlantic Provinces have much higher reliance percentages on groundwater resources.
